Haha, no worries. Once I actually took some time to figure it out it worked out alright. I learned how to knit/pearl kind of backwards because I was left handed when I learned and then later I tried doing the same thing right handed (since then between catholic school and my mother I was forced to switch hands at an early age). It ended with me messing up constantly, but once I relearned the correct way to knit right-handed it worked out fine.
Also thank you, I want to learn how to make more non-scarf related things but I always buy the wrong type of round needles for hats and shit.

Okay, www.knit… has circular needles that are short enough to make hats on, btw. You can use double-points but if you’re me and still can’t quite make your transition stitches tight between dpns these needles are phenomenal. Size 6-8 is good
